Where to Download Chunky
Chunky can be downloaded from Modrinth.com. Head to the page, click Download, and select Paper and the Minecraft version that matches your server.
Where to Place the Chunky JAR File
Once downloaded, upload the Chunky.jar file into the plugins folder of your Minecraft server:
- Open your server panel.
- Navigate to your desired server.
- Go to Files and locate the plugins folder.
- Upload the JAR file there.
How to Set Up Chunky
Setting up Chunky is super simple. Let’s walk through the basic steps to start pre-generating your world’s chunks.
- Enter the World
Navigate to the world where you want to pre-generate chunks (e.g., a farmworld or freebuild world). - Set the Center
Define the center where Chunky should begin generating chunks. The default isx: 0andz: 0.
Use:/chunky center - Set the Radius
Set the radius for chunk generation (default is 500 blocks).
Use:/chunky radius - Start Generating
Start the chunk pre-generation process with:/chunky startYou can follow the progress in your server console. - Cancel if Needed
To cancel the current generation task, simply use:/chunky cancel
