How to Set Up Custom Worlds or Seeds on Your Minecraft Server

Setting up a custom world on your Minecraft server might seem intimidating, but it’s actually quite simple!

This guide will walk you through setting up your own world or custom seed. Let’s start with the easier option—using your own seed.

Setting Up a Seed

1. Access Your Server Panel
Go to https://panel.BoxSRV.net and log in.

2. Open Your Desired Server
Navigate to the server you want to configure. Go to the Files section and locate the server.properties file.

3. Add Your Seed to the Properties File
In the server.properties file, find the line that starts with:

level-seed=

If it’s empty (which it usually is unless previously changed), paste your desired seed after the =.

4. Delete the Existing World Folders
Go back to your main server folder (usually called container). Locate and delete the following folders:

  • world
  • world_nether
  • world_the_end

5. Start Your Server and Confirm the Seed
Launch your server and join the game. Use the /seed command in chat to verify your seed is active.

Uploading a World

1. Delete the Existing World Folder
Go to your panel, select your server, open the file manager, and delete the existing world folder.

2. Locate and Prepare Your Custom World
Find your custom world folder on your computer. Once found, compress it into a .zip file.

3. Upload the World to Your Server
Head back to your server’s file manager and upload the zipped world folder.

4. Unzip the Custom World
After uploading, right-click the zip file in your server files and select Unarchive. Your custom world folder will now appear.

5. Rename the Custom World Folder
Before starting your server, rename your custom world folder to world. To do this, right-click the folder and choose Rename. Make sure the old world folder is deleted before renaming.

That’s it! Setting up a custom Minecraft world or seed on your server is easier than you think. Enjoy your newly imported world and happy crafting!
